Amy Neighbors

Amy Wilson-Neighbors, Administrator

Hello! My name is Amy Neighbors; I am the Administrator at Metcalfe Health Care Center and Metcalfe County Adult Day Care. I have been the administrator of this facility since 2000. I am a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Health Care Administration. Prior to my employment at MHCC I worked briefly at Edmonton Primary Care. I am currently a member of the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facility's Education/Convention Committee and the Public Relations Committee and have held seats on these committees for several years. I am married and have one son and daughter-in-law and two daughters. I thoroughly enjoy spending time in the kitchen cooking for family and friends. Other hobbies include travelling, fitness classes, and listening to music. I can't imagine doing this job at any other facility than ours. My residents and staff are my family. Metcalfe Health Care Center is my home.

Candie Bennett

Candie Bennett, Business Office Manager

My name is Candie Bennett and I have been employed at Metcalfe Health Care Center since March 2004. I began my journey at the facility as the part time receptionist. In January 2005 I moved into the Accounts Payable/ Payroll Clerk position which I held for 12 years. In January 2017 I was promoted to the Business Office Manager position. I reside in the Sulphur Well community with my husband Peter Bennett and our 2 children Austin and Lydia. I am a member of Pleasant Ridge Church and teach Sunday School to our youngest class. I am also currently serving as Vice President for the Metcalfe County Elementary School PTO. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, crafting and binge watching Netflix.

Cassandra Brown

Cassandra Brown, Director of Nursing

Hello. My name is Cassandra Brown and I am the Director of Nursing Services at Metcalfe Health Care Center. I started my career in nursing as a Nursing Assistant at Russell County Hospital on the Swing Unit in the early 1990s. Then in 1998, I obtained my LPN degree. I started my career at Metcalfe in 2001 as a night shift Charge Nurse, gradually moving to day shift Charge Nurse. Throughout the 15 years that I initially worked here, I have held the title of Restorative Coordinator and Wound Care Nurse as LPN. In 2009, I obtained my Associates in Applied Science degree and began working as an RN, holding the dual title of Assistant Director of Nursing and Infection Control Coordinator. I obtained my Bachelors of Science degree in May of 2016 and I left Metcalfe to venture into Hospice care. I returned to Metcalfe in June of 2017 in the role of Staff Development Coordinator until I assumed the role I currently hold as DON on February 1, 2018. My goal for our facility is and will always be to provide quality care to all our residents daily. I encourage teamwork and expect each member of our team to give 110% in all they do. When I am away from the office, you can find me at the marching band tournaments or ball games supporting my 17-year-old son in our local high school band.

Eris Smith

Eris Smith, Assistant Director of Nursing

Hi, my name is Eris Smith, Assistant Director of Nursing. I have been a Metcalfe County girl my whole life. I started my nursing career at MHCC in 2003 as a CNA. I continued to work at the facility until I graduated from high school in 2005 and then I chose to change jobs for a different experience. I continued to work in health care until I decided to further my education in the nursing field. Nearly a decade later I started back to college. I obtained my RN degree through Western Kentucky University. I was a full-time student with two jobs and was able to maintain a 3.5 GPA. I graduated with an Associates Degree in Nursing in December 2014. Over half my life has been dedicated to serving others in health care. I made the decision to return to Metcalfe Health Care Center in June of 2016. I continue to be a resident of Metcalfe County and plan to remain that way. I strive daily to ensure that our residents are safe and well taken care of; ensure our facility is clean and that our employees work together as a team to care for our residents. On my days off I enjoy playing golf, binge watching TV, riding back roads, listening to music and spending time with my boyfriend, my family, and friends.

Donna Harris

Donna Harris, Dietary Manager

I'm Donna Harris the Dietary Manager at Metcalfe Health Care Center with 12 years of service. I am married to Chief Tony Harris of Edmonton. I have one daughter, Candie, and two wonderful grandchildren, Austin & Lydia. I am passionate about my job and helping our residents establish and consume a well balanced diet. My love for food goes back many years as I have spent 30 years in the food service industry doing what I love best which is planning menus and creating new recipes. My hobbies include spending time with my grandchildren, four-wheeling, and cooking.

Kandis Gallagher

Kandis Gallagher, Social Services / Admissions Coordinator

My name is Kandis Harper Gallagher. My title is Social Services/Admissions Coordinator. I have been employed At Metcalfe Health Care and in this position since October 2001. I am a graduate of Metcalfe County High School and earned a bachelors degree from Lindsey Wilson College with my major being Human Services. I am married to Matt Gallagher and am the mother of Konnor Gallagher. In my spare time I enjoy running and watching our daughter play tennis and basketball. The best part of my job is getting to help the people of Metcalfe County when they require one of the many services we are able to offer.

Linda Crenshaw

Linda Crenshaw, Environmental Services Director

Hello, my name is Linda Crenshaw; I am the Environmental Services Director at Metcalfe Health Care Center. I have held this position for ten years. I live in Smiths Grove, KY with my husband, Ray Crenshaw. We have one son, Jeremy, and a grandson, Peyton. We are active members of United Faith Independent Church. My husband is a deacon and I hold the office of treasurer and sing in the choir. I love the Lord and am thankful for our church family. My family likes to vacation at the beach and take camping trips at the lake.

Sheila England

Sheila England, Activity Director

I'm Shelia England, Activity Director at Metcalfe Healthcare Center. My career at the facility began in 1999 when I was hired as an activity assistant. In 2002, I had the opportunity to become the director. I have 2 daughters and 4 wonderful grand-children who keep me busy most of the time. When the weather is beautiful, I enjoy cookouts and going four-wheeling with friends and family. I also enjoy doing home renovations. I am honored to be a part of the team at Metcalfe Health Care Center.
